22. 2. 1.
(11) Maro Ý Death
1. I heard thus. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anathapindika in Jeta's grove in Savatthi.
2. Then venerable Radha approached the Blessed One, worshipped, and sat on a side.
3. Sitting, venerable Radha said to the Blessed One: ßVenerable sir, it is said, `Death.' What is death?û
4. ßRàdha, matter is death. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are death.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter. Turns from feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(12) Maraõadhammo Ý The Nature of Death
1. I heard thus. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anàthapiõóika in Jeta's grove in Sàvatthi.
2. Then venerable Ràdha approached the Blessed One, worshipped, and sat on a side.
3. Sitting, venerable Ràdha said to the Blessed One: ßVenerable sir, it is said, `The nature of death.' What is the nature of death?û
4. ßRàdha, matter is of the nature of death. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are of the nature of death.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(13) Anicca I Ý Impermanence I

4. ßRàdha, matter is impermanent. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are impermanent.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(14) Anicca II Ý Impermanent II

5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(15) Dukkha I Ý Unpleasantness I

3. Sitting, venerable Ràdha said to the Blessed One: ßVenerable sir, it is said, `Unpleasant.' What is unpleasant?û
4. ßRàdha, matter is unpleasant. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are unpleasant.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(16) Dukkha II Ý Unpleasantness II

4. ßRàdha, matter is of unpleasant nature. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are of unpleasant nature.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(17) Anattà I Ý Lacks Self I

4. ßRàdha, matter lacks self. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness lack self.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter. Turns from feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(18) Anattà II Ý Lacks Self II

4. ßRàdha, matter is of the nature of lacking self. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are of the nature of lacking self.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(19) Khaya Ý Destruction

2. Then venerable Ràdha approached the Blessed One, worshipped, and sat on a side.
3. Sitting, venerable Ràdha said to the Blessed One: ßVenerable sir, it is said, `Is of the nature of getting destroyed.' What is of the nature of getting destroyed?û
4. ßRàdha, matter is of the nature of getting destroyed. Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are of the nature of getting destroyed.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(20) Vaya Ý Fading
1. I heard thus. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anàthapiõóika in Jeta's grove in Sàvatthi.
2. Then venerable Ràdha approached the Blessed One, worshipped, and sat on a side.
3. Sitting, venerable Ràdha said to the Blessed One: ßVenerable sir, it is said, `Of the nature of fading.' What is of the nature of fading?û
4. ßRàdha, matter is of the nature of fading Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are of the nature of fading.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple, realizing this, turns from matter, feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(21) Samudaya Ý Arising

3. Sitting, venerable Ràdha said to the Blessed One: ßVenerable sir, it is said, `of the nature of arising.' What is of the nature of arising?û
4. ßRàdha, matter is of the nature of arising Feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness are of the nature of arising.
5. ßRàdha, the learned noble disciple realizing this, turns from matter. Turn from feelings, perceptions, intentions, and consciousness. Turning, looses interest and is released. Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û

(22) Nirodhadhamma Ý Of the Nature of Ceasing

Released, he knows, `I am released, birth is destroyed, the holy life is lived to the end, duties are done and I have nothing more to wish'.û
