Maha Buddhavamsa - Both Gods Meet in Space

Maha Buddhavamsa
The Great Chronicle of The Buddhas
by Tipitakadhara Mingun Sayadaw

Both Gods Meet in Space
Although thirty-two miracles occurred on events such as bodhisatta entering the womb, during birth,
let go of worldliness, achieve enlightenment, and
Parinibbana, the magic did not last long, but
vanished in an instant. At the time of Buddha unfold
Dhammacakka sermons, thirty-two of this miracle is also happening
and not immediately disappear but continued for several
moments before vanished. Watching the thirty-two miracles
amazing and incredible than the Forest Himavanta, Deity
Hemavata thinking, "Since I was born in this forest, the mountain is not yet
never been so amazing and incredibly beautiful and perfect,
as it is today. Therefore, (according to our promise) I'll go
and bring my friend Sàtàgira here soon and enjoy
Forest Himavanta beauty. And at the same time, Sàtàgira
are creating a vehicle of elephants, horses, eagles, and
others and to travel through space to the Village
Majjhima accompanied by five hundred gods followers yakkha
Both gods met in the skies over the City Rajagaha;
when asked what the purpose of his visit, Hemavata said,
"My friend Sàtàgira, since I became a god in the Forest Himavanta,
Mount Hemavata've never seen this beautiful day, the flowers are blooming though not the season, So I came
to take you to enjoy the beauty of flowers
Forest Himavanta amazing together. "
Sàtàgira asked god to god Hemavata, "My friend
Hemavata, do you know why these flowers are blooming
with a beautiful though not the season? "Gods Hemavata
replied, "I do not know, my friend Sàtàgira." Sàtàg ira
Hemavata told, "My friend Hemavata god, beauty
and fabulosity this happens not only in Himavanta. Actually,
The same events occur (everywhere) in the ten thousand natural
universe. Hemavata My friend, a Buddha has appeared in
three of nature (humans, gods, and Brahma). When this Buddha was
preaches the sermon in the Deer Park Dhammacakka Isipatana,

near the city of Varanasi. Because the sermon exposition Dhammacakka
by the Buddha, thirty-two miracles occurred throughout
the world. "
Thus, God tells his friend Lord Sàtàgira
Hemavata that the Buddha has appeared and, with the intention to
Hemavata God invites his friends to meet the Buddha, he
said:
Ajja pannaraso uposatho;
Dibba upatthità Ratti.
Anoma satthàram planted;
passàma Gotamam lasted.
Hemavata My friend, today is the day of full moon dates uposatha
fifteen lunar calendar! Tonight is the night a very
Jambudipa fun where the whole looks like a decorated
beautiful by the light of gods and Brahma (who came from ten
thousand of the universe to listen to the sermon, because today
This Buddha Dhammacakka), with colorful
germerlap of their clothes and palaces, with the moonlight,
star, and the Buddha himself. Hemavata My friend, do not be confused
or doubt about whether he is a Buddha or not. Come!
Let us now go and salute the
Buddha came from Gotama, who has the qualities
that never subsided, which is dubbed as the Buddha,
Blessed One, and others, and who became a teacher for humans, gods,
and Brahma.
Hearing these words Sàtàgira Gods, Gods Hemavata thoughtful
and thought, "Sàtàgira firmly stated that people
he encountered was a true Buddha All-Knowing, and
said, 'let us now go and salute
the Buddha Gotama from families who have
quality that has never subsided, which is dubbed as
Buddha, Lord, etc. '(Anoma satthàram planted, and
so on). Omniscient Buddha is very rarely appears
and difficult to achieve in this world. Many of them like the Puranas

Kassapa and others only claim to admit as Buddha
and confuse people by instilling knowledge
one of them. If the ascetic Gotama seen by Sàtàgira
is a true all-knowing Buddha, he must be someone
have Tàdiguna, quality is not compromised or immovable
by the conditions of both good and bad in the world
this. Therefore I will find out whether he has
Tàdiguna or not that is only possessed by the Buddhas. "And
to inquire about Tàdilakkhanà (signs was), he
say the following verse:
Kicci supanihito mano;
sabbabhutesu Tadino.
Kacci itthe anitthe ca;
sankappassa vasikatà.
My friend Sàtàgira, such as whether the mind is Buddha, who had
You see, naturally totally free from hate and love
toward all beings and sturdy as a person who has
Tàdiguna? What is He like? Does the Buddha Gotama
You see, able to free themselves or overcome kamma-
vittaka (thoughts senses), vyàpàda vitakka (thoughts
hate), and vihimsà vitakka (thoughts cruel) that tend to
to generate feelings of love and hate towards the object
likes and dislikes?
Sàtàgira god, that really convinced that the Buddha was
Sabbannu Buddha and with a view to answering
Hemavata god question about the characteristics Sabbannu Buddha,
say the following verse:
Mano c'assa supanihito;
sabbabhutesu Tadino.
Atho itthe anitthe ca;
sankappassa vasikatà.
Hemavata My friend, who had seen the Buddha mind is
naturally free from hate and love toward all beings

as one who has Tàdiguna. (Even at the time
currently meet parami and is in pursuit
Buddhahood, Bodhisatta has Tàdiguna, especially after
attain Buddhahood! In life as Chaddanta,
elephant king, he does not hold grudges for a hunter named
Sonuttara who intentionally killed the contrary, he
deliberately break the ivory and gave it
volunteered as a fund. In his life as a king
monkeys, nor did he hate the Brahmins who hit
head with a stone to kill the contrary, he
show a way out (of forests) to the brahmin
without anger. In his life as a Vidhura
wise, he does not hate is dragging two giant Punnàka
his feet and violently threw him upside down into a ravine in
the foot of Mount Kala-deep sixty Yojana; he even
expounded the Dhamma to him). That's why god Satagira
replied emphatically, "The mind is the Buddha who has seen
naturally free from hate and love toward all beings
as one who has Tàdiguna, "(" Mano c'assa supanihito,
and so on "). Hemavata My friend, who had seen the Buddha,
able to escape or overcome kamma-vittaka, vyàpàda
vitakka, and vihimsa vitakka that tend to produce
feelings of love and hate toward the preferred object and the
not favored. "
Thus, when asked about the mano-Hemavata dvàra
(The 'door of mind' or mind) does the Buddha have Tàdiguna
or not, he got a definitive answer from Sàtàgira. For more
sure, he wanted to ask again about whether the Buddha had
purify three dvàra (door or action), in other words,
after hearing the definitive answer to the question of god Sàtàgira
first on whether or not the Buddha has Tàdiguna
with respect to three dvàra because he wanted to get
a more definitive answer, ask again with Gods Hemavata
say the following verse:
Kacci adinnam n'àdiyati;
kacci pànesu sannàto.

Ara Kacci pamàdamhà;
kacci Jhànam rincati na.
Sàtàgira My friend, what He is like? Buddha in you
see? Is he a free man from taking property deeds
given by others without the owner either through action
and through speech? As to whether he? whether he is
one who abstain from evil deeds of murder?
As to whether he? Is he free from attachment to
five senses and objects away from the impurity (sexual act
and impure)? As to whether he? whether he was a
have obliterated the five hindrances or one that has not
attain jhana to extinguish the hindrances.
(Buddha has distanced himself from adinnàdànà and various
other forms of evil deeds not only in the life
in which he attained Buddhahood, but also during
a very long time in the past he has distanced
themselves from crime. With services resulting from the distance
themselves from this evil deed was making signs of a
extraordinary human being (Mahàpurisa Lakkhana). The whole world is also
praised the Buddha, "the ascetic Gotama abstain from evil
stealing ", and so on). Therefore, God Sàtàgira, intending
to provide a clear and unequivocal answer, say
The following poem:
Na so adinnam àdiyati;
Atho pànesu sannàto.
Ara Atho pamadamha;
Buddho Jhànam rincati na.
Hemavata My friend, the Buddha who has seen a
that is free from taking other people's actions without
given by the owner either through action or through
greeting. He was a man abstain from action
wicked murder. He is free from attachment to the five objects
senses and away from the impurity (sexual act and not
sacred). He is a man who has been to eliminate the five hindrances

mind or a person who has reached jhana to extinguish
hindrances.
After listening to a definitive answer with respect to
purity behavior (kayadvàra) and still wishes to
asked with respect to the sanctity of speech (vacidvàra).
God Hemavata asked by reciting the following verse:

Kacci musa na bhanati;
na kacci khinabyappatho.
Kacci cebhutiyam Naha;
kacci sampham bhàsati na.
Sàtàgira my friend, as did He? Is Buddha
you see, never lie? As to whether he? Whether
He did not say rude bernah that can hurt others?
As to whether he? Did he never say the words
incitement to pit the two best friends? Does He never
reckless talk is useless and futile as
rice is not growing?
(Buddha has distanced himself from the act of speaking
not true not only in life right now when
He attained Buddhahood, but during the period of very
long in the past he has distanced himself from the lies
and speech-words other wrong. With the service of virtue
always telling the truth is, he has signs of extraordinary human
such as: every pore grows only one hair, hair
grows between the eyebrows (unnloma) and others.
The whole world also praised the Buddha, "the ascetic Gotama away
themselves from crimes such as lying, "and so on). Because of
that, god Sàtàgira, intend to give a clear answer
and assertive, to say the following poem:
Moses ca so na bhanati;
na Atho khinabyappatho.
Atho vebhutiyam Naha;
Manta attham subhàsati.

Hemavata my friend, is true that the Buddha who has seen
is one who does not tell lies. It is also true, that He
is one who does not say harsh words. It is also true, that He
never say the words incitement pitting.
He just said the truth is real and useful.
Hemavata gods, having heard a definitive answer regarding
with the sanctity of words and still want to ask
whether the Buddha has a purity of consciousness, whether he has
overcome ignorance and whether he has five eyes, he asked
by reciting the following verse:
Na Kacci rajjati kàmesu;
kacci cittam anàvilam.
Mohammad Kacci atikkanto;
kacci Dhammesu Cakkhumà.
Sàtàgira my friend, as did He? Is Buddha
you look really been free from envy abhijjhà properties
hearts of the five objects of sense pleasure? As to whether he?
Is the Buddha mind which you have seen free of
vyàpàda, conditions of mind that is not healthy confounded
by hatred? As to whether he? Is Buddha
you see is really the one who has overcome four
moha, ignorance, which is the main cause micchàdiññhi,
wrong view? As to whether he? Whether he was a
have eyes that permeates all Dhamma Wisdom
without hindrance?
(Please remember that, "A person can not be called Buddha
just because it has a three-door senses the sacred, but
someone called the true Buddha if he has Sabbannuta Nana,
Omniscience or five eyes, "he asks: Did He is
a person who has the eye of wisdom that permeates all
Dhamma without hindrance? ("Kacci Dhammesu Cakkhumà").
(Even before reaching Arahatta-Phala and while still in

at anagamin-Magga, the Buddha has been free from dirt
inner form of attachment to the objects of the senses, are also free
of hatred, the condition of mind that is not good, because He has
eliminate kama raga kilesa and vyàpàda kilesa. Even at
when he reached Fruition-Magga, He has overcome the ignorance
because he has to eliminate Sacca-paticchàdaka moha, ignorance
covering the four truths, which is the main cause of
micchàdiññhi, wrong view. He received the title 'Buddha' and
Partly through the Knowledge view since he saw clearly
Four Truths with no help from anyone and with
knowledge that he acquired his own (Sayambhu Nana). Because of
it, (God Sàtàgira,, intending to give a clear answer
and decisively, to declare that the Buddha has sanctity
in terms of consciousness and has achieved Omniscience is
True Buddha, he replied by saying the following verses:
Na so rajjati kàmesu;
Atho cittam anàvilam.
Sabbamoham atikkanto;
Buddho Dhammesu Cakkhumà.
Hemavata My friend, who had seen the Buddha really
has been freed from abbhijjhà, envy toward objects
sensual pleasure. I saw the Buddha mind is free from
vyàpàda. Buddha I saw was a man who has overcome
four moha, ignorance, which is the main cause for
micchàdiññhi, wrong view. Because he has penetrated and
clearly see all the Dhamma with Sayambhu Nana, Knowledge
that present themselves, he deserves the title 'Buddha'
and also has five eyes.
Thus God with joy Hemavata
hear and know that the Buddha has a purity
with respect to the three-door senses and is a Sabbannu-
Buddha. As someone who has a learning ability
high (Bàhusacca-mangala) in his past life in
Kassapa Buddha's time and because it has intelligence, and
skilled in delivering sermons with the knowledge and

pure wisdom, and because they want to listen labih far
more about the qualities of the Buddha's features are beyond the
usual, he asked again by reciting the following verse:
Kacci vijjàya sampanno;
kacci samsuddhacàrano.
Kaccissa àsava khinà;
kacci n'atthi punabhavo.
Sàtàgira My friend, if you see the Buddha that has really
really have the eye of knowledge (vijjà) owned by all
Buddha? As to whether he? Whether he was a
has fifteen sacred act which is a foot
used to walk to Nibbana? As to whether he?
Buddha who has you see what has to eliminate four
àsava? As to whether he? Did you see the Buddha has
free from the possibility of rebirth?
Ira Sàtàg gods who have a deep conviction
Omniscience of the Buddha's genuine and willing to
convinced that the Buddha truly has all the qualities
questionable by the god Hemavata, responded with
say the following verse:
Vijjàya c'eva sampanno;
Atho samsuddhac `arano.
Sabbassa àsava khina;
Tassa n'atthi punabhavo.
Hemavata My friend, I saw the Buddha actually have
vijjà eyes possessed by all the Buddhas. He also really
a person who has fifteen sacred act which is
legs used for walking to Nibbana. Buddha
I saw has been freed from the possibility of rebirth.
Hemavata gods then became completely free from
doubts about the Buddha, thinking, "Buddhism has been seen by
Sàtàgira is the true Buddha, who has reached Enlightenment

Smpurna (sammasambuddhas) and the highest in the three realms.
Even while still in space, he uttered the following verses to
Deity worship Buddha and fun Sàtàgira:
Sampannam munino citam;
kammunà vyappathena ca.
Vijjàcaranasampannam;
Dhammato pasamsasi nam.
My friend Sàtàgira, Buddhist thought have you seen to have
Tàdiguna, he has a sacred act, pure speech, and mind
sacred. Sàtàgira My friend, you have the right in praising
Buddha has three Vijjà, Vijjà eight, and fifteen
Carana.
Sàtàgira god, also with the aim to please the Gods
Hemavata again, say the following poem, which means, "My friend
Hemavata, what you say is true. Now, you
already know the qualities of the Buddha and was happy: "
Sampannam munino citam;
kammunà vyappathena ca.
Vijjàcaranasampannam;
Dhammato anumodasi.
Hemavata my friend, thought I saw the Buddha has
Tàdiguna, he has a sacred act, pure speech, and mind
sacred. Hemavata My friend, you have correctly rejoice
the qualities of the Buddha, namely: three Vijjà, eight Vijjà, and
fifteen Carana.
Thus, and with the intention to invite god Hemavata
go with him to see the Buddha, gods Sàtàgira say
The following poem:
Sampannam munino cittam;
kammunà vyappathena ca.
Vijjàcaranasampannam;

Handa passàma Gotamam.
Hemavata my friend, thought I saw the Buddha has
Tàdiguna, he has a sacred act, holy speech and holy mind.
Let us now go and pay homage to Buddha
which has three Vijjà, eight Vijjà, and fifteen Carana.
Then, god Hemavata who have learning ability
high since a previous life would like to praise-
praise of the qualities he admired Buddha and
Sàtàgira invited to go with him to see the Buddha. He
say the following verse:
Enijangham kisam viram;
appàhàram alolupam.
Munim vanasmim jhàyantam;
Ehi passàma Gotamam.
Siham v'ekacaram nàgam;
kàmesu anapekkhinam.
Upasankamma pucchàma;
maccupàsa-ppamocanam.
Sàtàgira, let us go. Let us see the Buddha coming
of the Gotama family-which round his calf-like calf moose
(Eni) living in the woods; whose members the body
His other, large or small, has a length that fits in
five features, the corresponding short in four features,
corresponding small in four privilege, and the appropriate high
in six features, and rounded at the proper
round; determined and has the ability to resist and
conquer the dangers that come from within and outside his body;
only one meal (one day) just to maintain
in order to stay alive; who have removed the attachment (loluppa
tanha) with respect to food, which has four Magga
Nana, the knowledge of four road, and who always abides in the
Jhana in the quiet woods.

Sàtàgira My friend, let us go to the Buddha, who was like
Kesara Lion King, it is very difficult to be approached by ordinary people;
full of patience in the face of changes
worldly; who knew no fear; that is the only
(Buddha), which appears in this universe; who is like the King of Elephants
Chaddanta which has high strength and intelligence;
and which is free from all desire for all
the objects of sensual pleasures. Let us ask him
about Nibbana Dhamma that will surely lead us
out of the circle of suffering in the three realms of life
controlled by the king's death.
Thus Hemavata invites the God King Sàtàgira and the
thousand followers yakkha gods to go with him worship
Buddha and listened to his preaching.
