44. 11. 1.
(115) Pacina 1 Ý Facing East 1

1. I heard thus. At one time the Blessed One lived in the monastery offered by Anathapindika in Jeta's grove in Savatthi, and addressed the monks from there:

2. ßMonks, just as river Ganges bends, slopes, and inclines to the east, in the same manner the monk developing and making much the Noble Eightfold Path bends, slopes, and inclines to extinction. How does the monk develop and make much the noble eightfold path to bend, slope, and incline to extinction?

3. ßHere, monks, the monk develops right view, diving in the deathless and to end in the deathless  re  and the monk develops right concentration driving in the deathless and to end in the deathless. Monks, the monk developing and making much the Noble Eightfold Path in this manner, bends, slopes, and inclines to extinction.û

(121) Samudda Ý Ocean

Monks, the monk developing and making much the Noble Eightfold Path in this manner bends, slopes, and inclines to extinction.û
