1. While he was undergoing that Mânatta he

committed an offence--the first Samghâdisesa which he did not conceal.
He told the Bhikkhus, saying, 'I committed, &c. . . . I asked the Samgha. . . .
The Samgha imposed [&c., going through all that had happened, down to the end of
the first paragraph in this chapter].
They told, &c.
'Let then the Samgha, O Bhikkhus, impose upon Udâyi the Bhikkhu a Mânatta of six
days' duration, throwing him back to the commencement (of his Mânatta).
[The kammavâkâ as before.]
